Boss Babes

This Monday's post is for all you BOSS BABES out there chasin' dreams and kickin' a**! One of my very best friends, Amy Rose, who's currently livin' the dream in Cali and on her way to being a #GirlBoss requested a blog post geared towards dressing for the workplace. I've previously worked in social media marketing at an ad agency, and as a marketing director for a university athletics department and at both jobs, we weren't required to wear professional attire every single day - just when it was necessary for events or important meetings. I can't even describe to you how awful I look in a pair of slacks, so I didn't even bother buying any of those. It's just an awkward look on me. Even though less than 1/4 of my closet is made up of professional attire, I always made sure to have a few skirts, dresses and blazers on hand for the days I had to dress up a notch. Dressing professional doesn't have to be boring, so I've put together a few of my go-to looks below!

Shirt: Old - Similar here, Skirt: Gianni Binni - Similar here and here, Shoes: Vince Camuto - Similar here and here (love the tassel on these!) Bag: Tory Burch (Take $100 off right now using code LEAPYEAR)

I've said before that I love to buy all different types of skirts because they effortlessly add a lot to an outfit, and that's even more true when dressing professionally. You don't have to always wear pencil skirts. Add a pop of color with your shoes and you're set!

Dress: Gianni Binni - Dillard's (On sale for $38!), Shoes: Similar here and here (love these!), Earrings: Baublebar

Modest dresses are always good to have on hand because they're great to wear to the workplace, church, showers, and more.

Shirt: Nordstrom - love this tunic! It's a great length. Skirt: Similar here (also love the black one!), Shoes: Similar here and love these, Necklace: Baublebar

These "flounce" skirts are some of my favorites because they do a lot for a girl's figure. I just added tribal accessories like this necklace and cheetah shoes to spice up this outfit.
Tyceroni was feeling photogenic today, so he stepped in for a pic!

Blazer: Vince Camuto - Similar here and here Top: Express - Similar here (I love these portofino shirts!) Pants: ASOS, Shoes: I had a hard time finding the link to these shoes which is a bummer because they're so comfortable, but you can never go wrong with nude pumps like these. Dog: Not available ;)

Black + Nude + White is a clean and great color combo. Blazers are always a good staple to have in your closet because you can dress them up or down.

Hope this Monday hasn't been a typical Monday, and just another day in the life of a boss babe!

Also, I started a 3-day juice cleanse so send good vibes my way please! lol This girl has been eating way too many pepperoni pizzas and chips & guac, so this is a struggle.

I also added other items I love in the widget below!
