Dresses + Hairshows

It was SO windy yesterday!

Dress: For Love & Lemons, Shoes: Steve Madden
When it comes to attending weddings, I'm the absolute WORST at having something to wear. I never buy cocktail style dresses because I always think to myself, "I don't really have anything to wear this to," which is a total lie. We have ALOT of friends & family getting married this year, so we always have showers and weddings to go to, and I'm always running through the mall like a crazy person hours before the event trying to find a dress. Now, I've made a decision to start buying more dresses here and there, so I'll have them on hand for situations like that. For the sake of both me and Kalep! He hates being rushed (or late), and i'm always the cause of that (oops!).

One of my favorite designers is For Love & Lemons. They're pricey, but if you keep an eye out, you can snag them at half the price when they go on sale. For Love & Lemons also offers student discounts, so if you're a student, that's even better. It's always good to look at other sites like Revolve or ShopBop that also carry For Love & Lemons because a lot of times, they'll have their own sales. Right now, ShopBop has a Friends & Family Sale (using the code: INTHEFAM), and both full price & sale items are currently 25% off.

I was also shopping at Forever 21 this weekend, and I came across an AWESOME dupe for the dress I've posted about before for right around $30. For some reason, I can't find it online, but I saw it in store just yesterday. They also have a lot of dresses similar to For Love & Lemon's style with the eyelash lace. I linked some below along with some of my other favorite dresses by For Love & Lemons!

One more thing - I was in San Antonio this weekend to be a part of D'Anthony's SalonSpa Deja Vu Hairshow, and it was so much fun. One of my best friend's (C.J. Harris) is a hair artist there, and asked me, a long with a few other girls from West Texas to be his models. It was really cool to see how talented all these hair artists were and to see the beauty they created. I also got to meet so many nice people. While it was such a great time though, it was also great to be a part of something that helped raise money for the Battered Women & Children's Shelter.

If you live in San Antonio, he's your go-to guy! Instagram: @coryhairstyles

This is the jumpsuit I'm wearing, but it's currently sold out. Bummer because it's on major sale. I bought it last December, and never had anywhere to wear it to until this event. Similar ones are available here (Forever 21 - only $21!)here (ASOS), and here (ASOS)

She was my makeup artist for my wedding, so it was nice to get to see her again for this event! She's awesome at what she does. Follow her on instagram @rml_beauty!

Well that post was definitely a lengthy one! I'll end it here.

Have a marvelous day friends! :)
