I'm so happy to finally be posting a new blog post after a little over a week! Deer season has begun and Kalep was too excited to spend a week away at the deer lease so I decided to take a break and go with him. It was nice to not have wifi or cell service and spend time with him. Life gets so busy and full of distractions, so I think it's great for us to just take breaks from everyone and everything at times to regroup. After a few days though, I was ready to be busy again - and to be away from the rattlesnakes that also wanted to hang out with us at deer camp!

Anyway, I'm still going strong on this #NoSpendOctober! Spending one week away in the middle of nowhere was a big help because I didn't even have the temptation of going shopping or shopping online. ;) It's been great actually wearing a lot of the items in my closet that I had forgotten about though. This sweater being one of them. I purchased it during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale for $33 and hadn't worn it yet. I wish I had posted it sooner though because now it's no longer available. I did link similar sweaters above though and I'm loving the one from H&M! Once fall hits, I'm all about warm, oversized sweaters because you can't go wrong with one and they go with basically everything. I also love faux suede skirts. I've worn plenty on my blog over the last year, and here's a fun fact: I wore this skirt for my very first blog post last year! It came out to see daylight again and I restyled it with a baggy sweater.

One more thing - my mother in law and I try to go walking every evening, so I decided to pull out my old Fitbit, and I've been loving the motivation it gives me. I bought it a couple of years ago but I didn't really have any friends on the app, so it got old to me fast and I stopped wearing it. This time around, it's been fun challenging friends and actually keeping up with my steps for the day.  I upgraded to the Fitbit Alta because I had an old Academy gift card laying around and I gave Kalep my Flex. If any of you have a Fitbit - add me on the app! :)

Ta-ta for now!
