Monochromatic Street Style

Monochromatic looks are always a good idea. Basically, your outfit is based around one color - in this case being black and different shades of it. Monochromatic outfits are easy to put together. One way to start is to pull out all the pieces in your closet of the same color (even different shades of it) and go from there. Mixing in textures and throwing in a pattern piece in the same color range add a fun twist to the look. Not to mention - going monochromatic for us shorter girls helps give the illusion that we're a little taller (and maybe a little slimmer ;)).

While out shopping the other day, I was telling my mom that I needed some new thick black jeggings because I had overworn my other 4 pairs and they had become loose and not as tight especially around the ankles. That created the biggest dilemma with high ankle booties. The first thing I saw when I walked into Zara were these "body hugging" leggings and I absolutely love them. I'm sad I only got one pair because they were only $30 and worth so much more. They're made of a thicker material yet still tight like leggings. Side note: Kalep walked in while I was looking for something to wear and told me "my butt looked good in these pants." He confirmed that it was a good purchase (lol!). I also picked up this coat which will be completely overworn this winter. I think a grey and camel coat is a winter staple and can be paired with dresses, jeans, and pretty much everything in between. I've linked some other coats in the widget below! And the superstars - basically every human being should own a pair. ;)

Christmas is right around the corner and I'm up to my ears in cookie orders, so that's it for today. Make today great!
