Tricks to styling a fitted dress + 3rd Trimester Bumpdate

Dress: Zara (Only $20!), Jacket: Forever 21 - Bought last year but this one is VERY similar and comes in 3 colors!, Shoes: Sam Edelman (On sale for less than $50!), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Earrings: H&M

Jeans are getting harder and harder to wear these days, so I've mostly been trying to make outfits out of fitted dresses because they're the most comfortable for me right now. Loose dresses are great too but sometimes I feel like a big ball of cloth! Although they're not "maternity" dresses, some of my favorites are these basics from Zara that are only $20, and they're great because you can wear them after the baby bump is gone too! Here are a few ways to style a fitted dress and get the most wear out of them (without anyone noticing ;)):

Wear a cardigan or draped jacket over it. I've been looking for more light jackets like this black one because I know I'll be wearing them out this fall.

Tie your favorite denim or flannel around your waist, throw on your basecall cap & go!

Kimonos are a perfect light option to throw on over a fitted dress especially as we're nearing the end of summer.

As we're nearing fall, pair with a chunky scarf and over the knee boots!

Also, these shoes are one of my favorite pairs in my closet - so comfortable and I wear them out during the fall (also come in a tan color!) Sharing a list of other fitted dresses and jackets - all less than $100 below!

I'm officially 28 weeks and into my third trimester as of today, and I can hardly believe it! We still have SO much to do to prepare for Baby Warden's arrival (like picking out a name - oops!), so it makes me a little nervous that it's going by so fast. We're halfway through with her nursery, and I can't wait to share pictures of it. Kalep put her crib together this weekend, and it just makes it even more real that we'll have our little human here sooner than we know it. She's the size of a coconut this week, and I can definitely feel her little kicks all the time especially around 9:00 p.m. or 5:00 a.m. She's an early bird like her mom, but a little TOO early! I'm having the hardest time sleeping lately because I can't get comfortable and bathroom breaks are just a pain throughout the night. I always tell Kalep I dread when it gets close to bed time because I know I'll be tossing and turning for hours before I finally fall asleep. Other than though, that's the only real symptom I have right now. Oh yeah - and gaining pounds by the second! lol Anyway, my friends who are also pregnant right now are nearing their baby showers and due dates, and it's SO exciting to me that we're all fixing to have our little babes around.

I feel a little silly posting a blog post about clothes and nurseries when there are SO many tragedies going on in our sweet state of Texas right now, so I definitely don't want to take away from that. Please pray for everyone in South TX and all those affected by the storms (and can't forget the fur babies). My heart just breaks getting onto Facebook and seeing all the pictures and videos of what's going on down there - it's really hard to believe. I do love seeing pictures of everyone coming together to help though - still SO many good people in this world. I came across this article yesterday while scrolling through Facebook, and it lists different ways to help if you feel lead to:

Also, be sure to be on the lookout for any local efforts you can donate to or help! I believe our Chamber is loading up trucks to make a trip down to Houston tomorrow. If any of you local friends know of anyone taking clothes donations as well, be sure to let me know!

Have a beautiful day!
