We were feelin’ a little retro yesterday! I love when trends make a comeback, and i’m all here for flared jeans. I realize it’s a little hot (especially if you’re in West Texas) for flared jeans, but I wear jeans year round because I’m just comfortable in them. My thighs are my problem area, so I don’t like to wear shorts too often. The good thing about flared jeans – they are so flattering on basically EVERYONE! Every time I wear them, Kalep always lets me know he likes them or that I look good (lol!) I also love how they lengthen your legs especially if you’re on the shorter side like me. This pair is also high waisted, so hello cinched waist! I wanted to share these because they’re on major sale right now, and they’re great for cooler summer nights & you can also wear them into fall.
I wish I could find Mila’s exact pants but they were given to us a while back, but I linked some similar leggings which may even be more comfortable for baby. Leopard is basically a neutral (& a statement) at the same time, so I love to pair leopard with everything! Mila’s working on her blogger poses, but she gets distracted by kicking little rocks, birds that fly by or simply the fact that she’s wearing shoes (lol!) Her little personality is so funny!
Now, I’m sure you are probably tired of me talking about Bell’s Palsy, but I haven’t given an update in a while and I’ve had some people (who are currently going through it and watched my video) message me about where I’m at in this Bell’s Palsy journey. I go to the physical therapist once a week now and I had an appointment with my neurologist yesterday and they both agreed that although my progress is quite slow (slower than most they’ve seen), they are confident that it will come back. I would say I’m about 75% back and people tell me they hardly notice now (they’re probably being nice or they have just gotten used to my face this way lol), but I’m still pushing for that 100%. Basically, time & lots of prayers is what will heal now. I have started to workout and eat better now. This sounds so surface level, but I’m just being real. In a weird way, I feel like if I don’t have control over my face, I do have control over my body and my health, so I shouldn’t take that for granted. I started working with one of my good friends from college, Melaine, and she’s been sending me workout and meal plans. She’s a personal trainer and has a rockin’ bod (@theheadline15 on Instagram). I’m only 2.5 weeks into it, but I feel better than ever and am already to pre-baby weight (about time! lol) I’m not saying this to be annoying and talk about fitness because I am definitely a beginner, but it’s given me a boost of self-esteem that I had lost through this facial paralysis, and telling you all helps me to stay accountable. I’m doing my best to stick to it and reach my goals this time around!
Anyway, super long post, so I’ll end it here.
