(Just had to point out that I sat in the same chair as Queen B…if only I had that cool onesie and boots!)

I’ve been trying to convince Kalep to take a weekend getaway to El Cosmico in Marfa, Tx for like ever now and I finally got a yes because we’re planning on going on his next set of days off! Glamping at it’s finest! 😉 While we were in Marfa the other day, I just had to drive out there to see it in person and it was everything I expected it to be. Really though – this place is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to and only a little over a couple hours away from here. So cool that even the queen B herself (Beyonce!) made a trip there! El Cosmico is like our very own West Texas Coachella with teepees and retro airstreams and even safari tents. The nightly stay is also pretty affordable! Airstreams seem to be a thing in Marfa because pretty much everyone has one even just sitting in their own backyard. The Trans-Pecos Festival is also held there every year with music, art, sponsor booths, and lots more. Hoping to catch that this year!
We did a lot of walking around the grounds and even though I was wearing wedges, these were so comfortable! I wear these with basically everything, so even though they’re a little pricey, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. These jeans from Express are my current favorites – love the split hem and right now they’re buy one get one 50% off. Also, this top is another basic top from Zara that is so inexpensive but so cute. I love having basic tops that are still a little versatile to throw on with a pair of jeans and go. I’m really busy during the week so I don’t even have the energy to dress up sometimes, and these tops make it easy to add a little something to an otherwise plain outfit.
Anyone been to El Cosmico before? 🙂 Would love to hear about it!
