It’s FINALLY the most wonderful time of the year, and I’m so glad for it! I was so excited to get to decorate my own house this year for the first time. I have a feeling I’m going to turn in to my mom and go a little Christmas crazy around this time of year because it was so much fun picking things out. Side note: She usually has her tree(s) up by mid November. Anyway, I thought I’d share what resulted out of my Hobby Lobby run yesterday!
I have nothing but pure love for anything gold, so I had to incorporate it into my Christmas decor (even though Kalep thinks we have too much gold in the house. He’s wrong.) I did throw in a little rustic touch though…keeping him in mind!
I used to make fun of my mom because she would literally throw an ornament on anything (on candleholders, plants, etc.) just to give it a touch of Christmas, but really, it’s such an easy way to turn some of your daily decor into something festive. As a part of my dining room table centerpiece, I used a large dessert bowl I had and filled it with ornaments and pine cones. I did the same with the tray on my coffee table. Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places for home decor because they have such a variety of things and good quality too for an affordable price. Everything Christmas right now is 50% off, and you can always use the Hobby Lobby App for a 40% OFF coupon on an item that isn’t on clearance.
Also, if you’re looking for neat ornaments, Kirkland’s, Pier 1 and Hobby Lobby are my favorite! I found the diamond ring ornament at Pier 1 and had to have it in our tree since it’s our first Christmas as Mr. and Mrs. Warden!
I hope everyone is enjoying the first Day of December! Also, don’t forget – 25 Days of Christmas on ABC Family starts today! EEK! 😀
P.S. Excuse the lack of molding on the walls. We pulled the paneling and repainted, and we’ve kind of taken a long unintentional break from finishing the molding! Oops!
