SHOP THE POST
Mila is finally getting to the age where she can wear actual clothes and not just onesies and footies all the time, and I’m all about it! It’s so fun dressing her and going shopping for her, and I’m that mom that has always been excited to match my baby! No shame here! lol Side note: I love to dress her up, but I never want to come off as a mom who only cares about her clothes on the outside or who raises her to believe outer beauty is what counts because we all know that’s anything but true! I can’t deny that it is simply just fun when you have a girl (and even a baby boy) to dress them in clothes you would typically wear and I think that’s perfectly ok. Anyway, we picked up this little t-shirt dress for under $10 from Crazy 8 with lots of other fall items we’ll be sharing on here soon! I also wanted her to have a denim jacket because I wear mine ALL the time, so it’s a good staple piece. She, on the other hand, doesn’t love it as much. She kept trying to take it off. We’ll work on that! 😉 It’s pretty much a disaster every time we try to take pictures together nowadays because she thinks it’s so funny when she has shoes on and loves to stare at them and stomp.
Also, I taped for CBS7 yesterday for my weekly style segment and we talked about 3 ways to style a staple piece in your closet. This dress by Leith is hands down one of my favorite staple pieces. I’m fixing to order a couple more colors. It’s a little pricier than you would think for a bodycon dress, but it’s flattering and worth the price. You can dress it up or down and wear it with everything especially in the fall. It’s one of my go-to’s on those days when I “have nothing to wear.” I’ve also had this denim jacket for over a year now and it’s still in great condition. It’s a softer denim jacket and not stiff like a lot of them are!
