I’m back after a week off from my blog! I went to the Thrive Creative Conference last weekend and came back full of so many ideas and some changes I needed to make to my blog, stationery brand, etc. I’m currently working on a new logo and an update to my website, but that’s still in the works! Sometimes I think it’s good to take some time off to recharge.
Anyway, I actually purchased this dress for less than $30 a couple of weeks ago, and I’m sad I didn’t get it up on the blog fast enough while it was still on sale. It’s still very affordable and such a cute dress for the spring. I have a hard time buying bright colors for the Spring because I’m a big neutrals girl, so sometimes adding textures like lace is a great way to bring in spring to your wardrobe if you’re like me. I’m making an effort to not be such a downer and bring some color to my wardrobe this Spring though! You already know the ruffled sleeves were my favorite part of this dress. It’s still a little chilly in this area so you can even pair it with some black booties to keep your toes warm!
We didn’t do a whole lot this weekend besides catch up on housework and go out to dinner on Saturday. We planned on going to watch The Shack, but spent too much time at the restaurant so we missed the showtime. That’s been one of my favorite books, and I was so excited to see it turned into a movie. I hope it’s just as good!
I did spend my Sunday with my aunt (who is my blog photographer ;)) in Marfa, Tx and it was such a good time. I absolutely LOVE Marfa and how it’s filled with so much character. It’s such a strange special little place and I love that it’s only a couple of hours away. If you’ve never been, make a trip! What’d you do this weekend? Any fun plans?
I’ve linked some other lace dresses in the widget below! We’re coming up on wedding season, so you can’t ever have too many dresses for bridal showers, engagement parties, etc.
