SHOP THE POST
Out of all the roles I’ve played in life so far, there is absolutely nothing that beats being a mom. It’s so exhausting but so rewarding. I remember wondering if I was even fit to be a mom and over analyzing every part of it and here we are, almost one year later. So cliche, but I honestly can’t believe how fast time has flown by. This year has been a tough one for me – now having Bell’s Palsy for 10 months, losing my grandpa and just struggling to find my new identity between mom, wife, my work and everything else in between. This baby girl has helped me to see the sunshine in each and every day, and I can’t even remember life before her. All that to say that I’m so happy we got the opportunity to capture this season of life with Brandie Payne! We shot these right in her home (which is straight out of a dream Pinterest board, I must add), and she did a beautiful job. I always get nervous taking pictures because I’m still self conscious about my face and I worry if it’ll come out too crooked or if I look mad from trying to keep the Bell’s Palsy from showing too much. I would never want Mila to look back on these and think I wasn’t happy in that moment. Well, Brandie did such a good job in capturing that and you can hardly even tell I have Bell’s Palsy from these! We had a great time shooting these, and I think you can tell Mila loves the camera! 😉
I also wanted to share that my dress and Mila’s romper are straight from Brandie’s studio wardrobe. If you do a shoot with her, you have the option to pick clothing out of her wardrobe which is full of great pieces. It takes the stress of finding the perfect outfit right out of the equation if that’s something you’re not comfortable with.
Special Thanks to Brandie Payne Photography! She’s based here in West Texas and you can check her out at her website (linked above) or on Facebook & Instagram. She does maternity, newborn & babies, family & senior portraits!
