We didn’t do a whole lot this weekend besides FINALLY put up our Christmas decorations and catch up on things around the house! Geez – I was starting to feel embarrassed that our tree was still visible through the window, so it was definitely time. It’s always so sad because the house looks a little empty afterwards. Kalep’s been working his day shift, so we can’t do a lot. I also finally joined the new gym in town, Fitness 8:28, and I loved it! I went to my first body pump class this morning, and I can already feel the soreness setting in. I’ve actually been trying to eat cleaner and exercise more often and over the last two and a half weeks, I’ve been able to get back down to my high school weight which I am thrilled about. Still have a long way to go, but it’s definitely motivating! It’s also helped me to learn to cook different things, so I don’t get bored with plain chicken and veggies, so I’ll be sharing some of my go-to’s on here pretty soon!
I had been eyeballing this jacket from BCBGeneration for quite some time, but it was a splurge, so I couldn’t convince myself to buy it. When I came across the one I’m wearing above at Zara for almost a third of the price, it was a must have. The quality is just as good as the pricier one I had seen. Moto jackets are so easy to style and can be worn from anything like a lacy blouse to a graphic tee. Styling it the right way can also take a moto jacket from season to season especially winter to spring, so you can get lots of wear out of it. Flannel and plaid shirts are always loves of mine because they’re so comfortable and I can just throw them on with a pair of jeans and booties and be out the door. I also wear them all year around. I’ve been especially into these fun graphic flannels. I found this one at Zara and what it says is absolutely beyond me, but the font was cute (and it was also only $12.99). I linked a few from Forever 21 that are less than $20 and SO cute!
Make this Monday great!
